New Delhi:
Northern railway on Tuesday night conducted a mock drill of train derailment scenario to check response time.
The new of Patna-Bhabua Intercity Express derailment at Jakhim Railway Station in Aurangabad, Bihar was issued at around 10:30PM to check response time.
The number of accidents has recently spiked in Indian Railways, creating a cause of concern.

In a recent train accident, at least two people were reportedly killed and several others injured after Ajmer-Saeldah express derailed near Rura in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh.
The mishap took place around 6 AM on December 28 near Rura railway station, Northern Central Railways PRO Amit Malviya said.
Asked about the reason of the derailment, Anil Saxena, Indian Railways spokesperson said, "there was dense fog in the morning". Due to the mishap, the Kanpur-Howrah route has been temporarily closed.
