Addressing a rally in Himachal Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that these elections are not about forming a government but building a ‘Bhavya’ and ‘Divya’ state.
PM Modi launched attack on Congress by saying that there was a time when newspapers were full of 2G spectrum and corruption news all over. He added that there was a time when people used to talk about losses and now they talk about gains.
PM Modi said that they are now taking action against those who involved in rampant corruption.
“People of India won’t believe in Congress over honesty in next 100 years,” said PM Modi.
"We want to change lives in villages in India be it roads, railways, air, highways. We want to work for Himachal. Only development can fulfill all our dreams. Only development can take coming generation on to our desired path, said PM Modi.
PM Modi was addressing rally in Himachal Pradesh’s Sundar Nagar.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi in Raitt said that no senior Congress leader came in Himachal Pradesh to campaign and they have already left the field leaving everything on fate.
"I have heard that Congress has lost the trust in its own leaders and is looking for rebels in other parties. I haven't come here to ask you to make BJP win. I have come here to ask you to give it a 3/4th majority," said PM Modi.
PM Modi urged people that there should not be a single polling booth where there will be presence of Congress.
"Congress is getting the fruits of its sins. If people are angry today, it is due to its own deeds. They're going to celebrate 8 Nov as black day and burn my effigies. They don't know Modi is disciple of Sardar Patel and won't be cowed down," said PM Modi.
"People who were habitual looters and have had to return their loot today won't let me be at peace. Even you know that," he added.
"In 2014 Congress had promised to provide 9 gas cylinders per year. When we came to power, we decided to provide gas through pipelines. There was maximum development in Himachal when Atal Ji was in Delhi and Dhumal Ji was here in Himachal. You have a chance again," said PM Modi.
