New Delhi:
The Kalkaji Mandir - Botanical Garden corridor of the Delhi Metro, which will reduce travel time between Noida and south Delhi, has been inaugurated by PM Modi on Monday. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also participating in the inaugural function and is addressing public meeting along with the prime minister.
According to a senior police officer, around 5000 security personnel from Uttar Pradesh Police and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) have been engaged in the security of the Prime Minister.
This section will also be the metro's first-ever corridor to be operated using the Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling technology which will facilitate the movement of the trains with a frequency of 90 to 100 seconds.
