Section 144 imposed: Ahead of Thackeray's visit today and VHP's 'Dharma Sansad' tomorrow, the local administration has imposed Section 144 in Ayodhya restricting gathering of people.

Massive security around the disputed site: One ADGP, one DIG, three SSP, 10 ASsP, 21 DSsPs, 160 Inspectors, 700 Constables, 42 Companies of PAC, 5 Companies of RAF, ATS Commandos and Drone Cameras have been deployed in Ayodhya for maintaining law & order: UP Police

No environment of fear, says Ayodhya DM: Ahead of the Shiv Sena chief's visit and VHP's event, Ayodhya DM Anil Kumar assured that there is no environment of fear in Ayodhya. He also confirmed that both Shiv Sena and the VHP has taken prior permission for their respective events.

Akhilesh Yadav wants Supreme Court intervention in Ayodhya: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav urged the Supreme Court to take note of the situation in Ayodhya and call the Army, if needed, to keep it under control. 
"The BJP does not believe in either the Supreme Court or the Constitution. The BJP can go to any extent. The kind of environment there is in Uttar Pradesh, especially in Ayodhya, the Supreme Court should take notice of it and bring Army, if necessary," the SP chief said.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will offer prayers at the Ram Janmabhoomi and participate in the “Maha Aarti” by the Sarayu River. The Sena chief will speak to saints and people there. The visit is seen as Sena’s effort to present itself as the only party that actually cares for the cause of Hindus. He is carrying a pot full of soil from the Shivneri fort in Pune, which will be handed over to the priest at the Janmabhoomi.
