According to a survey as summer vacations are approaching, Indian travellers are looking more for long haul destinations, including those in the US and Europe.
"This year, out of the searches made, Indians are choosing to travel to previously unexplored destinations and have been quite experimental with their travelling choices for Long haul destinations, travellers have searched for NewYork, London and Chicago", KAYAK Country Manager India Abhijit Mishra, said quoting from the survey.
All data and ranking are based on flight searches on KAYAK platform between July 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017 for the travel period between May 1 and August 31, 2017.
KAYAK is a fare aggregator and travel search engine.

For short haul destinations, there is an increased search for destinations such as Singapore, Bangkok in Thailand and Denpasar in Indonesia, Mishra added.
"We see a double-digit growth on search volume for most of the top 10 most searched destinations this summer, in which, searches for Europe destinations are growing year- on-year, especially the searches for flights to Amsterdam (over 195 per cent), Zurich (over 156 per cent) and Athens (over 122 per cent)", he added.
Within India, the most sought after destination for this summer is Goa followed by Srinagar and Bagdogra, the survey said.
