The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) gunned down ISIS terrorist Saifullah in 12–hour encounter in the early morning hours of Wednesday. As per the last reports coming on the encounter, the UP ATS had arrested 6 out of 13 ISIS terrorists, while six are still on the run.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams rushed to Bhopal and Lucknow to dots the link of ISIS terror module. The teams would also probe Bhopal-Ujjain train blast in the backdrop of Lucknow terror operations. It will interrogate the nabbed terrorists from Pipariya.
Details emerging in the aftermath of Tuesday's encounter in Lucknow’s Thakurganj reveal that the suspect named Saifullah was a devout member of the Kanpur-Lucknow unit of IS's Khorasan module.
When the UP ATS sleuths stormed the Thakurganj hideout of Saifullah after hours of gunfight, they were shocked to know that the operative was heavily-armed with a clear set of guidelines laid out for an active member of such groups.
