A 35-year-old man allegedly hacked his 75-year-old mother to death after she denied giving Rs 100 to buy liquor at Shivpuri village in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.

The accused has been identified as Santosh Sen. Madhya Pradesh Police has registered a case against him at Amola Police station.

Amola Police station officer-i- charge Parmanand Sharma told PTI that the accused attacked his mother around 6am in the morning after she refused to give him the money.

He added that Sen kept the body inside a room and left.

Sharma further added that after killing his mother he went out and told the villagers that something bad is going to occur as crows are hovering around.

Villagers on hearing his talks suspected something fishy as they knew they were aware of the fight between the accused and his mother.
