Maharashtra Transport Minister Diwakar Raote on Tuesday said that he is having sympathies with ST employees but their demands of salary as per 7th pay commission is not possible.

Supporting his argument, Raote said that all courts including labour court and industrial court has held this strike as illegal.

The Transport Minister however offered to resolve the matter through talks and said that they are ready to nominate a committee to resolve issues of ST employees.

Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation employees went on a strike from Monday midnight. They are demanding a salary hike at par with the 7th pay commission.
