Maharashtra: Congress MLA Abdul Sattar thrashes farmer over land dispute

A power drunk Congress MLA allegedly thrashed a farmer in his neighborhood over a land dispute. Sillod Congress MLA Abdul Sattar and his supporters allegedly beat him up over a land dispute.

The MLA clarified that the land belongs to a Dalit family and he has nothing to do with it. But the situation had coerced him to take the step, he said.

“Land belongs to Dalit brothers, don't have any connection with it. Situation at that time was such I had to take that step,” Sattar said.  The police also rushed to the spot.

The incident took place amid protest of farmers where the Congress party is trying to corner the BJP government over the interest of farmers.
