Amid head-spinning series of developments in Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar’s daughter and MP Supriya Sule has confirmed what was the buzz since morning – the split in the Nationalist Congress Party. Sources have told News Nation that Sule put a WhatsApp status that cleared the picture beyond any doubt. In the status, screengrab of which is with the News Nation, Sule wrote ‘party and family split.’ Sule’s cryptic line makes situation crystal clear in the NCP camp. There were rumours doing the rounds about how Ajit Pawar went against his uncle and NCP chief Sharad Pawar to form a government with the BJP on Saturday. Some report are saying that as many as 40 NCP lawmakers are backing Ajit Pawar. Sule’s WhatsApp status comes after Sharad Pawar publicly disowned Ajit Pawar’s actions. In a single tweet, Pawar senior said that forming government with the BJP isn’t Maharashtra is not NCP’s decision. Though some other reports had said that the NCP chief did consent to this alliance with the BJP.
