A delegation comprising Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Siddharth Roy Kapur and a team from Dharma Production is going to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh amid threats over the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ on October 28.

Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios will also accompany the delegation during the afternoon meeting with Rajnath Singh. Although Director Karan Johar will skip the meeting as he is busy with the post-production of the film in Mumbai.

Sources from Dhrama Productions said, “We would be meeting Rajnath Singh to discuss about the safe release of 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.”

The delegation is going to discuss the security issues and threats given to the producers and other cast of the film.

Seeking to calm tempers over opposition to the release of his directorial venture, Johar had made a fervent appeal against stalling the release, saying he will not engage with talent from Pakistan in future.

Already there has been a lot of ruff around ADHM over presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the film in the light of recent Uri attacks. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has even threatened to block the release of the film. Earlier the Cinema Owner’s Association (COEAI) had boycotted the release of film in four states.

On October 18, a team from Johar’s Dharma Productions along with filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt and Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios went to meet Mumbai’s top police officials to sought security and protection during the release of the film. However, The Maharashtra government has also assured safety to cinemas where the film will be screened from Diwali weekend.
