A man on Saturday beached the security of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at a party event in Lucknow. The man climbed onto the stage where Priyanka Gandhi was sitting and got to meet the leader. Priyanka, who shook hands with the alleged Congress worker, instructed the security personnel to allow the man to meet her. She heard out the man before her security cordoned him off stage.

Earlier, addressing party-workers on Congress's 135th Foundation Day in Lucknow, Priyanka launched a scathing attack against Modi government over Citizenship Amendment Act and National Population Register. While addressing the party workers, she said, “Other opposition parties in state are not speaking up a lot. But as I said, we're not going to be afraid and will keep raising voices even if we've to walk alone. We've to be prepared to go into next Assembly elections alone.”
She also targeted the Yogi Adityanath-led government for "communalising" the police force. Attaching a video clip in which the Meerut SP can be heard telling the protesters to "go to Pakistan', Priyanka tweeted, "The Constitution of India does not allow the use of this language with any citizen, and when you are an officer in an important position, then the responsibility increases. BJP has communally poisoned the institutions to such an extent that the officers today have no respect of the values enshrined in the Constitution."
