Man dies of bee attack in Thane

After being stung by a swarm of honey bees, a 54-year-old man died on Saturday, a civic official said.

Umesh Saraf was standing on the Pokhran road near Glaxo Company when he was stung by a swarm of honey bees at around 8.30 AM, Thane Municipal Corporation's Regional Disaster Management Cell chief Santosh Kadam told PTI.

Saraf was injured and rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment, Kadam added. Police said a case was registered.
