In a massive security breach in the VVIP zone in New Delhi, a man jumped in front of the convoy of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The man, dressed in yellow kurta and white pyjama, jumped out of nowhere in front of the pilot car of Singh’s convoy. There are reports that the man was demanding for an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The security personnel quickly detained the man and dragged him away from the spot. His identity has not been revealed, however, initial reports suggest that he was mentally unstable. The incident that took place on a road leading up to Parliament raises serious security concerns. It comes at a time when the BJP and the Congress are involved in war of words over the reports of breach in security of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
