A man, pleading to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday came in front of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s convoy in Delhi. The incident took place in the high-security Lutyens zone when Rajnath Singh’s convoy in front of Parliament building. The man suddenly came in front of the convoy but whisked away by Delhi police personnel.

The man, in his 30s, kept on crying but the defence minister didn’t stop by to listen to his grievances. He later claimed that he wanted to meet the prime minister. It was not clear why he wanted to meet PM Modi.

In pictures shared by news agency ANI, the man was seen crying and later sitting in a police van. In India, while anyone can seek appointment to meet prime minister by writing to the Prime Minister's Office, many people are unaware of the the procedure. When the incident took place, the prime minster was not in Delhi and was busy addressing an election rally in Jharkhand.
