New Delhi:

Father of Mandsaur gang-rape victim “little Nirbhaya” has rejected the compensation offered by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and demanded death penalty for the accused.

“I do not want any compensation. I just want the accused to be hanged,” ANI quoted the father of the victim.

Earlier, state Women and Child Development Minister Archana Chitnis said that CM Shivraj had transferred Rs five lakh in the bank account of the victim’s father.

“CM has transferred Rs five lakh in her father's account. Hope police finds the accused very soon so that can be hanged. The State Government will take care of her health & education,” Chitnis said.

In a painful reminder of 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape case, an 8-year-old little girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur was brutally raped and left for dead with her throat slit on Wednesday.

The ‘little Nirbhaya’ was waiting for her father after school when a 20-year-old labourer, identified as Irfan Khan, took her to a sequestered place and raped her. The accused slit her throat after the inhuman assault and left her for dead.

Later in the night, she was found lying in a pool of blood and miraculously alive.  She was then rushed to Indore’s MY Hospital in a critical condition.

While the police have arrested Khan, another accused who was also involved in the heinous crime was still on the run. Police said that they were trying to track him down and he will soon be arrested.
