Delivering speedy justice in the Mandsaur gangrape case, a special court on Tuesday awarded death penalty to two men for raping an eight-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur after their conviction in the case. The special court completed the trial and pronounced verdict in the terrifying Mandsaur gangrape case in less than two months.
On June 26, the eight-year-old class two student was lured by two men – 20-year-old Irfan alias Bhaiyu and 24-year-old Asif – while she was waiting for her father outside her school.

The little girl was taken to an isolated place and gangraped by them. They even tried to kill her by slitting her throat. However, the minor girl was found alive in a pool of blood, which severe injuries to her neck, face and private parts.
Earlier in the day, the accused Irfan and Asif were held guilty by the special court under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and he Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
‘Little Nirbhaya’ underwent trauma similar to 2012 Delhi gang-rape victim
The eight-year-old 'little Nirbhaya' had undergone similar trauma to 2012 Delhi gang-rape victim. After the brutal assault, she was left for dead with her throat slit. Later at night in the same day, she was found in a poll blood and miraculously alive.

She was rushed to Indore’s MY hospital in a critical condition. Doctors treating her had revealed that a sharp object – probably a rod or some wooden stick – was inserted into her. The barbaric torture of the girl was a painful reminder of the brutal 2012 Delhi gang rape.
In December 2012, a medical student was gang-raped in moving bus in Delhi in a similar manner. She was raped by six people, who later inserted an iron rod and hands into her abdominal cavity and pulled out a major part of her intestine from the body.
The ‘little Nirbhaya’ also went through the similar pain and it took doctors two major surgeries and several hours to minimise the damage to her entrails.
