Imphal:
A total of 168 candidates spread across 38 constituencies are in fray for the first phase of Manipur Assembly elections to held on March 4.
BJP is fielding candidates in all the 38 seats, Congress has put up 37 candidates and there are 14 Independents, election officials said on Sunday.
The last date of withdrawal for this phase was on Saturday.
The two-phase election for the 60-member Assembly will be held on March 4 and 8 and vote counting for the Manipur polls will be held on March 11.
