Mann ki Baat 2.0: PM Modi's monthly radio programme to resume today

After a thumping victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha Polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come back his monthly radio programme, Mann ki Baat, on Sunday (June 30). The last such address to the nation by Narendra Modi during was made in Mann Ki Baat programme aired on February 24.

The monthly show made its debut on October 3, 2014, a few months after the PM Modi asuumed charge as India's prime minister, and is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month. PM Modi’s ‘Mann ki Baat’ will be broadcast on All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan. The monthly radio show, where the prime minister shares his thoughts can also be heard live on the official Narendra Modi App. The program will also be live-streamed on the Youtube channels of the Prime Minister’s Office, AIR and DD News. 

The show was discontinued just ahead of the announcement of poll dates by the Election Commission of India and the model code of conduct came into place. This despite the fact that all earlier broadcasts of Mann Ki Baat have kept away from political issues and have generally focussed on social issues, sources added.
