Mann Ki Baat Highlights: PM Modi pays tribute to Lokmanya Tilak, the brave son of India

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared his thoughts with netizens and abroad through his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat 'at 11 am on Sunday. The 46th edition of PM's monthly address is being broadcasted on the entire network of All India Radio (AIR), Doordarshan and the NaMo app.

Besides that, people can listen to PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat on the YouTube channels of the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Information, AIR and DD News. It will be simultaneously aired on AIR’s official website – www.allindiaradio.gov.in.

Alternatively, citizens will be able to catch the live broadcast of Modi's Mann Ki Baat on their mobile phones by giving a missed call in 1922.

AIR will broadcast the programme in regional languages shortly after the original Hindi broadcast at 11 am. Regional language versions of Mann Ki Baat will be repeated at 8 pm on Sunday.

Here are the Highlights on PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat:

# 11:11 am: PM Modi narrates an inspiring story from Madhya Pradesh. "I came across news of a student Asharam Chowdhary from Madhya Pradesh belonging to an extremely poor family. He cleared the exam in the first attempt to get admission in MBBS at Jodhpur AIIMS. His father is a rag-picker. I congratulate him on his success," the prime minister said.

# 11:10 am: Recently, the famous poet Neeraj ji passed away. He always exuded hope, faith, resolve confidence. We can draw a lot of inspiration from him, says PM Modi.

# 11:08 am: The month of July often heralds new beginnings for our youth: PM Narendra Modi.

# 11:05 am: PM Modi talks about the historic rescue operation of 12 footballers and their coach from the flooded cave of Tham Luang in Thailand.

In the 44th edition of Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi lauded the Indian cricket team for their gesture during the Bengaluru test match against Afghanistan, adding that "Sports unite people". The prime minister was referring to India's warm gesture to invite the Afghanistan team on the stage while receiving the winning trophy.

Expressing his gratification over Yoga Day enthusiasm, Modi said, "Matter of great pride for Indians to witness our armed forces perform yoga on land, sea & sky - in submarines; on the snowy mountainous terrain of Siachen and even in mid-air, some 15 thousand feet above the earth".

During his address, Modi also remembered the thoughts and ideas of Sant Kabir Das Ji, who stood for social harmony. The prime minister paid tribute to the great Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee while remembering Guru Nanak Dev Ji to mark the 550th Prakash Parv in June 2019.

PM Modi also put out a list of the achievements by his government and termed GST "a great example of cooperative federalism".
