Maoists’ audio clip: Sukma attack carried out to avenge Operation Green Hunt

Backing their killing of 25 CRPF personnel during Sukma attack, the Naxalites have released an audio tape. The Maoists said that they attacked CRPF personnel because they are part of government machinery and was posing threat to their movement.

The spokesman praised Peoples Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA), party cadre and people who helped in carrying out attack against CRPF personnel. It is being considered that the audio clip has been released by a committee of maoists’ political organization, CPI (M).

It was said in the audio that the attack was carried out to respond to the government, fascist forces and Operation Green Hunt. The spokesman claimed that government conducted many attacks on them in 2016. During that, 9 persons, villagers and 21 persons in Odisha were killed.

The spokesman elaborated that this attack should be seen as a revenge for these killings and sexual harassment against tribal women.

It is to be noted that PLGA is an unit of CPI(M) which involves themselves in violent attacks against government. This unit has been attacking CRPF personnel and police. The spokesman emphasised that they are carrying out attacks for welfare of people harassed by government.

The unit also attacked BJP government and accused them of supporting police in doing harassments of tribals and Dalits.
