Days before the Pulwama attack, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar had addressed the cadres of his terrorist outfit and told them that "Pakistan is not complete without Kashmir". India had submitted the purported audio tape of Masood Azhar’s address to Pakistan as part of the evidence given by New Delhi to Islamabad against the activities of JeM and its chief in Kashmir.
In the audio tape, which is reportedly from his February 5 address, the Jaish chief is heard paying tributes to the terrorists killed in Kashmir. "Kashmir will attain freedom soon, along with freedom of all Muslims of India," Azhar is heard saying in the audio tap.
In his address, he is heard claiming that "victory" can be achieved in a month if Muslims of Kashmir unite against India. "The US has come to negotiate in Afghanistan, India too will be compelled to beg for negotiations before the next Kashmir solidarity day. If all Muslims of Kashmir unite against India, victory can be achieved within a month…," Azhar is heard saying.
Over 40 CRPF jawans were killed after a suicide bomber of the JeM drove an explosives-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama. The JeM took the responsibility of the attack but despite that, its chief Azhar continues to roam freely in Pakistan.
RELATED
Following the Pulwama attack, India handed over a dossier to Pakistan on the terrorist activities of JeM and its chief in Kashmir. The dossier, a copy of which is with News Nation, has all the information related to the terrorist organisation, its activities and training process.
The dossier also included a video of JeM terrorists’ training at Balakot camp, which was destroyed by the Indian Air Force during the February 26 air strikes. The dossier also has specific information about JeM'c rallies and religious congregations held "right under the nose of the Pakistan government" to recruit terrorists by instigating them against India.
The dossier also has in-depth details about the camp, its locality, infrastructure, training methods and schedule. According to the dossier, JeM men undergo a set routine at the Balakot training center and their day starts as early as at 3 am. The JeM offers several religious and Jihadi courses to prepare its men for the acts of terror, including suicide attacks.
After completing basic religious and jihadi courses, the selected cadres undergo rigorous armed training for eight months to one year. Apart from basic training in weapon handling, jungle survival, ambush, communication, GPS, MAP reading, the cadres are also imparted with other specialised training in swimming, sword fighting, horse-riding etc.
