Mathura mass cheating in board exams; many booked

The exam season has set in almost all states. However, the medium which is a way to asses students has failed drastically in many regions following cheating cases.

Students were seen copying and taking help from outside at several centres in Mathura during Uttar Pradesh Board Examinations for Classes X and XII, following which over 70 students and teachers have been booked.

On Thursday, footages of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh went viral after students were caught cheating and passing chits from windows of a school, during board exams.

The news came days after Indian army candidates were made to sit in their underwear in a field to give a written exam to deter cheating during a recruitment day in Muzaffarpur on Feb.

On March 2, more than 200 students were caught cheating in the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) examination in Bhind district on the first day. Students were caught with chit papers and mobile phones inside examination halls.

The cheating practices have become quite common in India. On February 25, the control room set up in Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) said a total of 426 students were expelled across the state on the first day of the examination.

Last year also in Bihar, students in both states were caught doing mass cheating during exams.
