Militant killed in encounter with security forces in J-K's Pulwama

A militant was killed during an encounter in a village in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Saturday.

The encounter broke out after security forces launched a search operation to track down hiding militants in Begumbagh village, police said. 

Police said militants opened fire on noticing the security forces who retaliated, triggering a gunbattle.
