The opposition parties in Tamil Nadu led by DMK’s MK Stalin met governor Vidhyasagar Rao over the prevailing political crisis in the state. He further said that they will consider legal options if the Governor doesn’t ask the E Palanisami government to prove its majority on the floor of the house. Palanisami has the support 114 legislators in the 238-member assembly, Mr Stalin said.Â
Stalin said that he has the support of 119 MLAs which include  89 DMK MLAs,8 Cong MLAs,1 IUML MLA and 21 Rebel AIADMK MLAs.

"The DMK will surely come to power in Tamil Nadu and will remain in power for at least 25 years. Many people in Tamil Nadu are wondering if the Governor is unable to determine what majority means," M K Stalin mocked.Â

Congress and DMK have, in the past, taken separate delegations to the Governor seeking a floor test. Vidyasagar Rao has, however, refused to interfere in the matter so far.
