Senior Indian pacer Mohammad Shami has been in a bad light ever since his wife Hasin Jahan accused him of domestic violence, extramarital affairs, sexual abuse and many more.
Meanwhile, in a major breakthrough to the incident, the cricketer was booked followed by an FIR, registered with sections of the Indian Penal Code related to domestic violence, criminal intimidation, attempt to murder, and causing hurt with poison.
Kolkata Police on Friday took the major step after Jahan filed a complaint against Shami in Lalbazar police station.
Police have used non-bailable sections against Shami, according to Jahan’s lawyer Zakhir Hossain. The case will be further investigated by Women's Grievance Cell.

On Wednesday Jahan took to social media platform Facebook and posted a few screenshots of text messages allegedly sent by Shami to various women. The post showcases a series of photographs of the women and their phone numbers. Jahan complained that Shami and his family members were torturing her both mentally and physically.
Moreover, Hasin has even accused Shami of match-fixing and claimed that he can cheat India for money as he has done with her. According to her statement, Shami took bribe from a Pakistani girl to fix a match and the money was delivered to him by a UK man named Mohammad Bhai.
Apparently, Shami's brother Hasib Ahmad is also charged with section 376 (rape). As per media reports, Hasib raped Jahan when she went to her in-law’s place in Uttar Pradesh in 2017.
However, Shami has refuted all the claims, made by Hasin and called it a conspiracy in order to destroy his career.

Reacting to the same Jahan told ABP News, "Shami is the one who is a liar. I feel there's a conspiracy from Shami's end. Or it could also be a conspiracy from Pakistan."
"Because Alishba is a girl who lives in Karachi in Pakistan. Shami calls her, books a room for her, has relations with her. Then Shami tells that Alishba also gave him money. Mohammad Bhai, who stays in UK, got money delivered through Alishba to Shami," she added.
Soon after the news broke the internet, the BCCI dropped Mohammad Shami from its annual contracts list.
