RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday said the Hinduvta outfit was not against inter-caste marriage and it was an issue of compatibility between a man and woman. Answering wide-ranging questions on issues like inter-caste marriages, education as well as the caste system, Bhagwat also said if there is a census on inter-caste marriages, the maximum cases will be those from the Sangh.

On the last day of the three-day mega outreach conclave by the Hindutva outfit, the RSS chief also said India needs a new education policy.

"If you do a survey of inter-caste marriages in India, maybe you will find the maximum percentage of those being swayamsevaks from Sangh," RSS Bhagwat said.

'Cow vigilantism should be there'

Speaking on the much-talked about cow vigilantism, Bhagwat said to take law into hands over any issue is wrong and strict action should be taken against those found gulity.

"Why only over issue of cows, to take law into hands over any issue is wrong and a crime. Strict action should be taken. But cow is a matter of devotion. 'Gauraksha' should be there," Bhagwat said.

"Gau raksha should be done in a constitutional way, but gau rakshaks should keep cows first. There are many Muslims who run cow gaushalas with complete dedication. Don't link all such people to lynching. Don't link gau rakshaks to criminals," he said.
