It will stormy Monsoon session for the BJP-led NDA government as the Opposition is all set to corner the centre over various issue including  Supreme Court verdict on Arunachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, NSG membership, inflation, Uniform Civil Code and many others.

On the other hand, the government is hopeful of a breakthrough on the key GST bill, Whistle Blowers Protection (Amendment) Bill, Consumer Protection Bill 2015, the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amendment Bill, 2015 and few more.

On Friday, BJP senior leaders Arun Jaitley and M Venkaiah Naidu had met Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma to iron out differences on key clauses of the GST bill and to have a smooth Monsson session.

The last few sessions of Parliament have seen frequent face-offs between the ruling and the opposition benches but the second part of the Budget Session saw a relative improvement as far the completion of government business was concerned.

The BJP Parliamentary Party’s executive will also meet today to firm up its strategy for the Monsoon Session of Parliament. BJP is bracing for the Opposition assault over its alleged attempts to destabilise governments in states ruled by non-NDA parties.
