Living in an digital era has led to the celebration of motherhood on a larger scale with social media platforms coming up with new ideas to tell all mothers around the world that they are special.
Facebook on this Mother's Day is giving people worldwide a chance to be thankful to their mothers with a newly launched 'grateful' emoji.
It has also made some new additions to the messaging platform. When you open the Facebook Messenger you will notice a new Flower icon down below. Clicking on which will lead you to the camera of where you can either click a photo or post a video. Facebook has added special filters to the camera keeping in mind the Mother’s Day theme. With Facebook advancing its way towards marking a unique celebration of this day, other social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram are also not very far behind.
Hashtags like #MothersDay, #JourneyWithMom has been trending on Twitter. The Hashtag #MothersDay is accompanied with a heart emoji which reads 'MOM', especially for this day. So, now when you tweet using the hashtag #MothersDay, the emoji will automatically appear.
Facebook's sister platform, Instagram will evidently have Mother’s Day-themed stickers this weekend, although details are scant.
