Motihari: At least 27 dead, several injured as bus catches fire after overturning

A total of 27 on Thursday died as the bus they were travelling in turned turtle and caught fire in Motihari district of Bihar.

According to reports, the fire was caused after the bus overturned.

The accident happened on national highway 28 near Moga Hotel in Kotwa area as the bus was travelling from Delhi to Muzzafarpur.

The injured have been taken to the hospital and the rescue operation is underway.

The driver of the bus, in which 32 passengers were travelling, lost the control over it causing it to overturn.

The death toll is expected to rise, and more details are awaited.
