MP Govt appeals to employees to wear Khadi once a week

Madhya Pradesh government on Thursday requested its employees to promote handmade Khadi fabric by wearing clothes made from it once a week to work.

"Madhya Pradesh state government appeals to all state officers and employees wear Khadi-made clothes once a week, as per their will," a government issued notification read.

The notification, issued by state Principal Secretary MK Varshney, is likely aimed at promoting handmade fabric and small and medium industries dependent on it.
