Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) co-in-charge of Gujarat affairs and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha marked Gandhi Jayanti by flagging off a 'Gujarat Parivartan Satyagraha' from Dandi, known all over the world, for Gandhiji's Salt Satyagraha and Dandi March. Before starting his Satyagraha on Sunday, Raghav Chadha reached the site of the Dandi March to pay his respects to Mahatma Gandhi and seek his blessings. He said that just as Bapu's Salt Satyagraha had liberated the people of India from the tyranny of the British rule, similarly the 'Gujarat Parivartan Satyagraha' will free the people of Gujarat from the arrogant rule of the BJP for 27 years. Addressing the media on this occasion, Raghav Chadha said that he has taken blessings and paid respects to Bapuji today at 'Dandi' the site from where Bapu started his Salt Satyagraha.
Following in his footsteps, he has started 'Gujarat Parivartan Satyagraha' by taking the blessed soil of Dandi in his hands to liberate the people of Gujarat from the arrogant BJP government of 27 years. Raghav Chadha said that Mahatma Gandhi had begun Salt Satyagraha by taking a pinch of salt in his hand from this revolutionary land and forced the British rule to listen to the voice of the common people. This led to an awakening which forced the British government to take a decision in favor of the common people.
He said that just as Mahatma Gandhi's Salt Satyagraha had laid the foundation for the end of British rule in India, similarly the 'Gujarat Parivartan Yatra' would herald the end of the BJP's corrupt and arrogant rule from Gujarat.
