New Delhi :

Lashing out at rebel party leader Mukul Roy, the Trinamool Congress' youth wing has said that he is a "traitor" in Bengal politics.

The TMC Youth wing also alleged that those who joined the saffron party has compromised with the secular credentials of the state and the people.

TMC MLA Arjun Singh challenged Roy to contest in the municipal election reacting to Roy's earlier statement that he has his men in all 77,000 booths in the state.

People of West Bengal can easily identify a political opportunist, said West Bengal Minister of state for Health Chandrima Bhattacharya. "You are now finding fault in the political line of the party to align with Congress in 2009.

Why didn't you speak for all these years? You didn't see anything wrong when you were first made a MoS for shipping and then was given the postof railways minister," TMC MLA and TMC youth leader Partha Bhowmick said.

Mukul Roy, was once the second in command in the regional political outfit TMC and had recently switched over to BJP alleging that the party had turned into a 'private limited company'.
