Mumbai Police on Monday evening detained Kamala Mills owner Ramesh Govani in connection with the fire incident in the campus which had claimed 14 lives last year.
Govani was arrested in connection with the fire incident at `1Above' and Mojo's Bistro pub, housed in Kamala Mills, where 14 people were killed and more than 21 injured on 29 December.
Govani has been accused of violating the norms of the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning (MRTP) Act.
Earlier this month, police had recorded statement of Govani. He was questioned in connection with the case registered against him.
Police had booked Govani in two FIRs filed by the BMC since he was aware about the illegal construction and violations carried out at Mojo Bistro and 1above pub.

A senior police officer of NM Joshi Marg police station told the media that they had issued summons against Govani earlier this month.
Mumbai Police on Sunday had arrested Kamala mills director Ravi Surajmal Bhandari, Fire Brigade officer Rajendra Baban Patil and Utkarsh Vinod Pande, the owner of the hookah company Nirvana, in connection to the fire.
