A 26-year-old Mumbai woman delivered a baby at Dadar railway station platform with the assistance of One Rupee Clinic and woman Railway Police Force.
Dr Rahul Ghule, founder of One Rupees Clinics said, “The delivery took place on Monday evening.”
“The delivery took place in platform number 3 of Dadar station with assistance of our doctors and female GRP officers,” added Ghule.
According to railway officials, the woman Salma Shaikh, had gone into labour was going to a hospital for regular check up, when she started experiencing labour pain.
Ghule informed the media that both mother and child are healthy.
Commuters in the coach contacted the RPF, who further contacted One Rupee Clinic Doctors.
The Central Railway along with Magicdil runs ‘One Rupee Clinics’ at 14 different stations. Al the 14 clinics are open 24*7. The Railway opened the clinics to provide immediate medical care for its commuters.
