Muzaffarnagar: Minor girl crushed to death, locals set the vehicle afire

A 10-year-old girl was crushed to death by a car following which enraged locals set the vehicle on fire in Jamianagar locality here, police said today.

The girl was playing outside her house on Friday evening when the car crushed her to death.

The enraged locals then set the car on fire and thrashed the occupants before handing them to police while the car driver managed to escape.

Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

The body has been sent for postmortem.
