Muzaffarnagar: Woman chops off husband's genitals for 'staying with second wife'

In a shocking incident, a woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar chopped off her husband’s genitals for allegedly neglecting her and “staying with his second wife”, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday in Mimlana area. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition was stated to be critical, the police said.

“The man had recently married to another woman with the consent of his first wife as they didn’t have a child,” PTI quoted Station House Officer, Kotwali police station, Anil Kaperwan as saying.

The second wife had recently given birth to a child and the man was staying with her for some time. This, apparently angered the woman and she committed the crime, Kaperwan said.

Family members of the man had filed a complaint against the accused wife and the police were investigating the case.
