My mind went blank: Andhra Pradesh cop pleads with repeat offenders, photo goes viral

Inspector B Shubh Kumar pleading to a family for not wearing helmet.

Rarely do we see that a policeman joining hands to those who do not wear helmets while riding. The photo of a cop has just gone viral where he joins his hands and pleads with a family of five on bike where none of them wore a helmet.

The photo taken by a fellow policeman has been shared numerous times on twitter where the traffic cop from Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur is seen to be pleading with a family of four including two children.

The photo gained all the more importance when it was tweeted by DCP Traffic of East Bengaluru Abhishek Goyal who is an IPS officer of the Karnataka cadre.

"My mind went blank when I saw the five of them riding so dangerously and all I could do was fold my hands in total resignation, helplessness and frustration," Shubh Kumar told Indian Express.

As per Indian Express' report the cop known as B Shubh Kumar while on his way to work spotted K Hanumantharayudu, on a bike with two of his sons on the fuel tank and his wife and relative at the back.

Hanumantharayudu is a repeat offender and has been warned several times, says Shubh Kumar. On being caught by Kumar Hanumantharayudu smiled at the inspector.

As the two kids were sitting on the fuel tank, he had little room to manoeuvre because their legs were stuck to the handlebar. Accidents happen like that only,” Indian Express reported Kumar as saying.
