Narendra Modi in Lucknow Highlights: PM lays foundation for 99 projects worth Rs 3,397 crore

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday arrived in Uttar Pradesh's capital city Lucknow on his two-day visit. During his two-day visit, the prime minister will lay foundation stones of several development projects in the city.

Modi will attend an event on ‘Transforming Urban Landscape’ to mark the third anniversary of his government's three key initiatives related to urban development- Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transfornation (AMRUT), and the Smart Cities Mission.

Besides, Modi will also receive feedback from PMAY beneficiaries, via video link, from different cities of Uttar Pradesh.

This is Modi's sixth visit to the state in less than a month. Earlier, the prime minister had addressed public rallies in Shahjahanpur, Azamgarh, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mirzapur and his home constituency Varanasi.

# 07: 16 PM : Everyone will have a house by 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the government has approved 54 lakh houses in the cities and provided more than 1 crore houses in the villages to ensure that everyone has a house to live in by 2022.  

#07: 10 PM: Modi promises to provide home to the poor and homeless: The Prime minister said his government's promise to make the lives of the people in the country better  had become stronger after BJP came to power. Mod said; "We will give 'pakka makaan' to people who are poor and homeless"

#06: 55 PM: PM Modi addresses Transforming Urban Landscape event: The prime minister, in his address at the Transforming Urban Landscape event said that his government's mission on transforming the landscape of urban India and Lucknow share a close bond.

#06: 50 PM: Modi transfers Rs 606.85 to 60,426 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) beneficiaries: PM Modi has transferred funds worth Rs 606.85 to more than 60,426 beneficiaries in UP under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) via online transfer.  

#05: 56 PM: PM Modi attends 'Transforming Urban Landscape’ Event: The event marked the third anniversary three key initiatives related to urban development- Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transfornation (AMRUT), and the Smart Cities Mission.

#05:15 PM: Modi inspect an exhibition of smart cities: Prime Minister Modi, along with UP CM Adityanath, inspected an exhibition on Smart Cities in Lucknow. 

#04:30 PM: Modi's sixth UP visit in a month: This is PM Modi's sixth visit to Uttar Pradesh in less than a month. The visits are part of the BJP's mega election campaign for 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
