Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from primary membership of BJP on Saturday, barely a month after her husband quit the party.
Her husband Navjot Singh Sidhu had resigned as a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha in July this year, formally quitting the BJP earlier this month after launching a forum called the Awaaz-e-Punjab. Her resignation was accepted by Union minister VijaySampla, who is also Punjab BJP president.
