Former Cricketer, commentator, TV host and a politician Navjot Singh Sidhu says that he is ready to train his multiple roles for a position in the Captain Amrinder Singh’s cabinet in next Punjab Government.
Sidhu, who joined Congress only 19 days before e the ection, told a newspaper recently that he ‘get a role (in the Punjab Cabinet), he will leave everything’. He however, added that it was up to Captain and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi to decide.
Speaking to an English daily, Sidhu said that as an elected MLA his priority would be bring green revolution back to Punjab.
“I want to see that Punjab's green revolution is back and it can be called granary of India without any signs of farmer distress. I want to see a drug-free Punjab without debt burden and whose men can work in defence or find jobs,” Sidhu said.
Howver, when asked how will he manage TV shows with his full-time political career Sidhu clarified: “First of all, I need to clear this confusion. The shows are not shot for seven days. I go to Mumbai only once a week, for the rest of the days I am in the national capital.”
