A case was registered against the house owner, Hemanth Kumar, following a complaint from Guntey.
A police official said Kumar has been arrested.
Earlier, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who also hails from Arunachal Pradesh, had described the attack on the student in Bengaluru as “saddening.”
He had said the Home Ministry was also pursuing the matter besides the police investigation.
Kumar had earlier surrendered and police were investigating the case.
