Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has confirmed that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be conducted only once this year. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced in Lok Sabha on Monday that the NEET 2021 examination will only be conducted once this year. Despite the requests of many students across the country to conduct NEET twice, entrance test will be conducted once in year.
In his written reply to the Lok Sabha on Monday, the education minister stated, “In 2021, NEET (UG) will be conducted by NTA only one time, in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.” All the required safety guidelines will be followed during the examination.
The National Testing Agency will be conducting the NEET 2021 examination on August 1 this year, and the medical entrance exam will only be conducted once this year. Candidates appearing for the exam will be able to seek admissions in medical colleges as per their scores. The exam will be conducted in 11 languages, this year in offline mode in pen-and-paper format and will be three hours long with three sections- physics, chemistry, and biology.
