NEET PG 2017 : Online registration to begin from September 26

National Board of Examination will be releasing the details of eligibility criteria, exam centres, counselling session, other details on the official website, www.nbe.gov.in

For dental courses, exam will be held from November 30th to December 3rd in 86 centres across 41 cities.

The online registration for NEET PG 2017 will begin from September 26 till October 31. Aspirants can check the official website – nbe.edu.in from September 24 onwards.

A toll free number and e-mail will be available from September 24. A toll-free number will become functional from Saturday and aspirants can also consult the website- www.nbe.edu.in, for further details about NEET PG 2017 exam.

The NEET-PG 2017 will include — all India 50 per cent quota seats for MD/MS/PG diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana) state quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana.

NEET-PG 2017 test will be computer-based and will comprise of 300 multiple choice questions. The syllabus is from the MBBS curriculum that is followed at medical colleges in India duly prescribed as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulation notified by Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

The Supreme Court in April this year gave the green signal for NEET, to avoid multiple entrance tests and minimise corruption and irregularities in admissions to medical courses. The exemption, was only for the year 2016-2017 and for the undergraduate courses. For post graduate medical and dental courses, the common entrance test was made mandatory for admission from 2016
