While the Gorakhpur tragedy of children dying due to disruption of oxygen supply still continues to haunt us, there is another report of a new-born baby dying because of lack of oxygen in a South Delhi hospital.

The police are investigating the matter and reports of the post-mortem are still awaited.

As per the family, the baby was delivered on Monday at Delhi government’s Rao Tula Ram Hospital.

"We immediately called the doctors as we saw her face turning blue. There was some problem with the oxygen supply," her father Brijesh Singh told a leading newspaper.

The family informed that while the doctors turned up, the baby was dead.

However, the hospital has denied such reports by saying that the baby died due to breathing problem and not lack of oxygen supply.
