News Nation's biggest disclosure on black money fraud via agriculture route in India rang the bells in the Parliament corners on Monday. After the ship-wreking Sunday, when the scam prevalent in the agriculture sector was brought to the country by News Nation, a startling exposure of Rs 2 thousand lakh crore was made public.
After the detailed report several politicians took note of the issue and decided to raise the black money fraud in Parliament session today.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday assured News Nation that he will raise the issue in Parliament with key leaders.
He praised News Nation and said, "I watched the programme, it was commendable."
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha also took note of the corruption which took place in the agriculture sector since 2010.
BSP Supremo applauded News Nation for its expose on black money in agriculture sector and called it a serious issue. She added, "It must be probed."
In an explosive revelation, the channel got hold of an RTI reply which thre light on the dark world of corruption and fraud in agriculture sector.
It was shocking to learn that in 2011-12 nearly 6.50 lakh farmers earned Rs 2 thousand lakh crore (approx) which was much more than the annual GDP of the entire country.
