The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) class 10th 2016 results will be declared today at 3 PM. The NIOS class 10 examination was held in the month of March/ April 2016. All the candidates can view their NIOS 10th Results 2016 at www.nios.ac.in.
The NIOS is the board of education under the Union Government of India. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India in 1989[1] to provide education to remote areas under the motive to increase literacy and aimed forward for flexible learning.
The board administers examinations for Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations of open schools similar to the CBSE and the CISCE to increase literacy and provide education to rural areas. It also offers vocational courses after the high school. Despite being established for distance education, NIOS provides a formal and regular secondary and Senior Secondary program equivalent to CBSE. Besides, NIOS successfully conducted 10th class examination from 31st March to 28th April 2016 wherein around 1,46,245 students appeared for the examination.
The students can check the results through IVRS, SMS or Email. The candidates can send SMS by sending NIOS10
