Nirbhaya verdict: SC upholds death penalty to 4 rapists; here is how twitterati reacted

New Delhi:

The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the death sentences of four convicts of the brutal gang-rape and murder of 23-year-old physiotherapy student.

The four accused Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh were sentenced to death by the Delhi high court in 2013 for which they had filed a review petition in Supreme Court.

Today, with the verdict, a ‘black chapter of India’ has come to an end but we as a society need to do much more to ensure no woman should be harmed and treated with respect.

The decision of Supreme Court was welcomed by the entire nation and people along with politicians took to social media to react and express their satisfaction.
