Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tendered his resignation to Governor Keshri Nath Tripathi on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav said Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar had not asked for Tejashwi’s resignation. Lalu said that Grand Alliance is intact and Nitish Kumar will remain leader of the same.
"Under the current situation, it's not possible for me to continue with the government. I tried to find a solution. I had requested Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi to clear all the facts regarding the corruption charges. But nothing has happened," Nitish Kumar said outside Raj Bhavan after submitting resignation.
"We waited long. RJD doesn't want to give any explanation. So we have decided to call it quits," Nitish said.
