Nitish Kumar to take oath as Chief Minister of Bihar at 5 PM on Thursday. PM Modi is likely to participate in the oath taking ceremony. Just after Nitish’s resignation, PM Modi congratulated him and called for unity against corruption.

The JD(U)-BJP alliance have 129 MLAs together which is 7 more than the magical 122 MLAs mark to form government in the state.

Soon, the BJP after its MLAs meeting expressed full confidence in Nitish Kumar and announced unconditional support to JDU.

Sushil Modi said that they were not in favour of mid-term elections in Bihar. He hailed Nitish’s move by saying that he hasn’t compromised on corruption.

“We are happy that Bihar CM didn't compromise on the issue of corruption and did not kneel down before RJD,” said Sushil Modi.

BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Nitish-Lalu alliance was a mismatch and this had to happen. He added that if Nitish asks for support, then we will think over it.
